Our Story
Kru-Marc Inc was started in 1994 by two friends, Dirk Krueger and Steve Marcis, both of whom were constructive executives with a large construction company. Both men shared a vision that they would use their years of experience and education to enable other companies to reach their full potential. They were experts in how to effectively troubleshoot problems and how to objectively analyze work processes where improvement needed to occur.
Dirk has since retired, but the KMI mission to help organizations still goes on! Steve has continued to work on complex projects ranging in value from several thousands of dollars to well over $200MM.
In 2018 KMI launched a new division of the organization focused on IT Services led by Doug Marcis. Data has always been a key component to every project and Doug with his technological skill-set has helped enable faster insight and analysis for our customers.
Our objective is simple. It is to do projects right the first time and to employ strategies that ensure profitability for our clients.
How we work
We get work done! We love when our customers demand results and we hear it quite frequently. It is truly something we take great pride in as we take a no non-sense approach to all the work we do. All companies’ have problems and we provide solutions to those problems. Our approach is simple:

Steve helped found the company and sets the standard for the ways KMI works. He takes a logical approach to solving issues and values all his personal and business relationships. Steve excels at managing projects and is always ensuring all parties are on the same page.
Doug heads our IT Services division. He has a MBA and a BS in Computer Science from Loyola University of Chicago. He loves helping customers solve problems and is always looking to give different options for his customers. His goal is to help navigate the business landscape from the IT perspective and vice versa.
